T-48 And Counting

I'm 48 days away from my first "adventure of a lifetime" as we prepare for our Scottish galavant. I'm already dreaming about all the wonderful experiences.  My fist flight on an A380, followed immediately by our train trip on the Caledonian Express all have my senses tingling.  Our Visa applications are submitted and awaiting finalization....a totally nerve wracking experience. But my biggest fear right now, my driver's license.  Our wonderful South African government saw fit to have only ONE yes 1 printing device and the tender to replace it is under corruption scrutiny.  Yikes!! I'm busy trying to check in with the car hire company if my temporary license will be accepted. All the wonderful "best packing tips" articles I've read also have me in a bit of a tizz.  There are so many, you just have to pack this, list of items, I'm wondering if I'll ever get it right. Luckily for me, mother is a packing Guru, so I think I'll let her take...

In full swing

Plans for our UK trip are now in full swing, with Visa applications well under way.  Bookings for accomodation are near completion and we are now going to work on car hire and insurance options.  Mom has been great with assisting on all the bookings to date and I am excited for what we have planned.  I have been looking for blouses to go with my jacket and pants that I plan to wear to the wedding and after much thought realized that I was not going to be able to find what I was really looking for, so I have asked a seamstress to assist me with making a blouse.  If all goes well it will look really glam! We have gone from a round table discussion in South Broom to an in progress family adventure and I could not be more excited. I feel like time is just running away from me and it is all happening so fast.  Well now, I just need to hang in there and vasbyt until we are off and rearing to go.
